Morrigan “Celtic Goddess of Battle Holding Crow and Sword” Statue

This Celtic Goddess Morrigan Statue is an impressively detailed statue depicting the Goddess Morrigan in a flirtatious celtic dress with a crow in her hand standing holding a sword. Expertly crafted of cold cast bronze in strikingly sculpted detail. Mixing bronze powder with resin gives it an authentic metal look with a stunning antique bronze finish and you’ll marvel at the colored effects. The Morrigan is depicted here wearing a daring blue dress, holding a sword and ready for battle. A crow swoops down to perch on the soft landing of her open palm. Her hair is long with 2 braids in the front and worn loose, allowing her wavy tendrils to flow freely. A striking must-have piece rich with celtic symbols and a thoughtful gift for anyone into nature religions. The Morrigan or Mórrígan, also known as Morrígu, is a figure from Celtic Mythology. The name is Mór-Ríoghain in Modern Irish, and it has been translated as “Great Queen” or “Phantom Queen“. The Morrígan is mainly associated with war and fate, especially with foretelling doom, death, or victory in battle. In this role she often appears as a crow, the Badb. She incites warriors to battle and can help bring about victory over their enemies.

The Morrigan encourages warriors to do brave deeds, strikes fear into their enemies, and is portrayed washing the bloodstained clothes of those fated to die. She is most frequently seen as a goddess of battle and war and has also been seen as a manifestation of the earth and sovereignty-goddess, chiefly representing the goddess’s role as guardian of the territory and its people. The Morrigan is often described as a trio of individuals, all sisters, called “The 3 Morrigna“. Membership of the triad varies, sometimes it is given as Badb, Macha, and Nemain while elsewhere it is given as Badb, Macha, and Anand (the latter is given as another name for the Morrigan). It is believed that these were all names for the same goddess. The 3 Morrigna are also named as sisters of the 3 land goddesses Ériu, Banba, and Fódla. The Morrigan is described as the envious wife of The Dagda and a shape-shifting goddess, while Badb and Nemain are said to be the wives of Neit.

She is associated with the banshee of later folklore. In the sources, the name of the Morrigan is always preceded by the definite article (an Mórrígan or an Mórrígu). As for its etymology, it goes back to an older Irish name, Mór Ríoghain, which literally translates as “great queen” (from mór, “great“, and rígan, “queen“). This meaning is the same as the name of the Ancient Indo-European Goddess Rigantona, to whom the name of the Morrigan is sometimes referred to. Alternatively, the first element of Mór Ríoghain can also be identified with the Germanic mahr (“nightmare“, the same root as nightmare), meaning “Queen of Ghosts“. Traditionally, her name was also linked to the Celtic word morSea“, a connection generally rejected by modern linguists, the name of the Fairy Morgana probably goes back to this element, which is sometimes linked to the same Morrigan. Morrigan “Celtic Goddess of Battle Holding Crow and Sword” Statue sizes: 6.5 inches / 16.5 cm x 3 inches / 7.5 cm x 10.25 inches / 26 cm.

Disney Angel “Experiment 624” Statue

This Disney Angel Statue is full of spunk and optimism, an eccentric work of art that will be the eye-catching center pieces of any collection. Romero Britto is best known for his bold and vibrant use of colorful patterns and this Disney by Britto statue is a fantastic representation of his artistry. Angel, aka Experiment 624, and Stitch’s female counterpart. Britto maintains her predominantly pale pink coloring while throwing in splashes of bright colors throughout. She’s finished off with a pink heart icon in her ear. Angel, aka Experiment 624, is an illegal genetic experiment created by Jumba Jookiba. She is Stitch’s love interest, mate (or “boojiboo” as they call each other), and female counterpart. From Stitch! onward, she is also considered to be a major character in the Lilo & Stitch franchise. She is designed to turn people and experiments from good to evil. Programmed with a special musical neuro-linguistic behavioral modification trigger, she sings a siren song to turn her victims evil. The effects can be reversed by chanting the evil song backwards. She was found by Gantu, who used her against Lilo and Stitch until she turned on him, leading him to capture her in retaliation. She was later rescued in “Snafu“. After her rescue, she became an intergalactic singing sensation and Stitch’s truelove. Her demanding career requires her and Stitch to maintain a long-distance relationship.

Angel is shown to be seductive and deeply enamored with Stitch. She is generally friendly, but sometimes she can be downright nasty. Since being reformed, her sweeter side shows a lot more. She has a very feminine voice and has been noticed flirting with the other experiments, until Stitch eventually wins her heart. Oddly enough, Reuben also has a crush on Angel, though she has shown extreme displeasure towards him. Angel was taught the meaning of love and ʻohana by Lilo & Stitch, and would do just about anything for them. She has even helped Stitch out of trouble on several occasions. Angel’s song causes any formerly evil person who hears it (including rehabilitated experiments created before her) to revert back to evil. Also, when Angel’s song is sung backwards, it will have the opposite effect (turning evil people and previous experiments to good). However, experiments that were created after her, like Stitch, Reuben, 627, and Leroy, are immune to her song. “Akootah chi meetoh igata no mootah, naga to nala itume tidooka“. “Heed me, you are in my power. Henceforth, nothing shall be too cruel or too abominable for you. You cannot escape”. Disney Angel “Experiment 624” Statue measures: 6.3 inches / 16 cm x 5.1 inches / 13 cm x 7.7 inches / 19.5 cm.

Brass Feng Shui Gong Statue, Chinese, Dragons, & Feng Shui Statues, Brass Feng Shui Gong “with Dragons” Statue

Brass Feng Shui Gong Statue, Chinese, Dragons, & Feng Shui Statues, Brass Feng Shui Gong "with Dragons" Statue

Brass Feng Shui Gong “with Dragons” Statue

This Brass Feng Shui Gong Statue makes soothing sound with the attached hammer, and consists of brass gong and wooden stand. It is believed that Feng Shui Wind Bell may bring you wealth and keep your home peaceful and safe by frighten away evil spirits. This unique instrument is perfect to use for yoga, meditation or sound therapy. A Gong is a percussion instrument originating in East Asia and Southeast Asia. Gongs are a flat, circular metal disc that is typically struck with a mallet. They can be small or large in size, and tuned or untuned. The earliest mention of gongs can be found in 6th century Chinese records, which mentioned the instrument to have come from the Western Regions (a region covering modern day Tibet, Xinjiang, and Central Asia). The term gong originated in the Indonesian island of Java. Scientific and archaeological research has established that Burma, China, Java and Annam were the 4 main gong manufacturing centres of the ancient world. The gong found its way into the Western World in the 18th century, when it was also used in the percussion section of a Western-style symphony orchestra. A form of bronze cauldron Gong known as a resting bell was widely used in ancient Greece and Rome, for instance in the famous Oracle of Dodona, where disc gongs were also used.

Gongs broadly fall into one of 3 types: Suspended Gongs are more or less flat, circular discs of metal suspended vertically by means of a cord passed through holes near to the top rim. Bossed or Nipple Gongs have a raised centre boss, or knob, and are often suspended and played horizontally. Bowl Gongs are bowl-shaped and rest on cushions. The latter may be considered a member of the bell category. Gongs are made mainly from bronze or brass but there are many other alloys in use. Gongs produce 2 distinct types of sound. A gong with a substantially flat surface vibrates in multiple modes, giving a “crash” rather than a tuned note. This category of gong is sometimes called a tam-tam to distinguish it from the bossed gongs that give a tuned note. In Indonesian gamelan ensembles, some bossed gongs are deliberately made to generate in addition a beat note in the range from about 1 to 5 Hz. The use of the term “gong” for both these types of instrument is common. Suspended gongs are played with hammers and are of 2 main types: flat faced discs either with or without a turned edge, and gongs with a raised centre boss. In general, the larger the gong, the larger and softer the hammer.

In Western symphonic music, the flat faced gongs are generally referred to as tam-tams to distinguish them from their bossed counterparts. Here, the term “gong” is reserved for the bossed type only. The gong has been a Chinese instrument for millennia. Its first use may have been to signal peasant workers in from the fields, because some gongs are loud enough to be heard from up to 5 miles (8 km) away. Large flat gongs may be “primed” by lightly hitting them before the main stroke, greatly enhancing the sound and causing the instrument to “speak” sooner, with a shorter delay for the sound to “bloom“. Keeping this priming stroke inaudible calls for a great deal of skill. The smallest suspended gongs are played with bamboo sticks or even western-style drumsticks. Contemporary and avant-garde music, where different sounds are sought, will often use friction mallets (producing squeals and harmonics), bass bows (producing long tones and high overtones), and various striking implements (wood/plastic/metal) to produce the desired tones. Rock Gongs are large stones struck with smaller stones to create a metallic resonating sound. Zen Art Brass Feng Shui Gong Statue sizes: 7.5 inches / 19 cm x 2 inches / 5 cm x 8 inches / 20 cm.

Sun Wukong “Monkey King with Dragon Turtle” Statue

Sun Wukong Statue created by skilled craftsmen in traditional style with fine handcrafts. This is a great piece of a valuable collection, a valuable personal alter or a very good present. The handwork is very fine with incredible detailling. Perfect style, pleasing design and wonderful workmanship make this statue a rare work of art. The Monkey King, known as Sun Wukong in Mandarin Chinese, is a legendary mythical figure best known as one of the main characters in the 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West and many later stories and adaptations. In Journey to the West, Sun Wukong is a monkey born from a stone who acquires supernatural powers through Taoist practices. After rebelling against heaven, he is imprisoned under a mountain by the Buddha. After 500 years, he accompanies the monk Tang Sanzang and 2 other disciples on a journey to get back Buddhist Sutras from the West (the Indian subcontinent), where Buddha and his followers dwell. Sun Wukong possesses many abilities. He has amazing strength and is able to support the weight of 2 heaven mountains on his shoulders while running “with the speed of a meteor“. He is extremely fast, able to travel 108,000 li (54,000 km, 34,000 mi) in one somersault.

Sun Wukong also acquires the 72 Earthly Transformations, which allow him to access 72 unique powers, including the ability to transform into sundry animals and objects. He is a skilled fighter, capable of defeating the best warriors of heaven. His hair has magical properties, capable of making copies of himself or transforming into various weapons, animals and other things. He also shows partial weather manipulation skills and can stop people in place with fixing magic. As one of the most enduring Chinese literary characters, the Monkey King has a varied background and colorful cultural history. His inspiration comes from an amalgam of Indian and Chinese culture. The Monkey King was possibly influenced by the Hindu deity Hanuman, the Monkey-God, from the Ramayana, via stories passed by Buddhists who traveled to China. The Monkey King’s origin story includes the wind blowing on a stone, whereas Hanuman is the son of the God of Wind. Some scholars believe the character originated from the first disciple of Xuanzang, Shi Banto. His inspiration might have also come from the White Monkey legends from the Chinese Chu Kingdom (700-223 BC), which revered gibbons. These legends gave rise to stories and art motifs during the Han dynasty, eventually contributing to the Monkey King figure.

He may have also been influenced by local folk religion from Fuzhou province, where Monkey Gods were worshipped long before the novel. This included the 3 Monkey Saints of Lin Shui Palace, who were once fiends, who were subdued by the Goddess Chen Jinggu, the Empress Lin Shui. The 3 were Dan Xia Da Sheng, the Red Face Monkey Sage, Tong Tian Da Sheng, the Black Face Monkey Sage, and Shuang Shuang San Lang, the White Face Monkey Sage. The 2 traditional mainstream religions practiced in Fuzhou are Mahayana Buddhism and Taoism. Traditionally, many people practice both religions simultaneously. However, the roots of local religion dated back centuries. These diverse religions embodied elements such as gods and doctrines from different provincial folk religions and cultures, such as totem worship and traditional legends. Though there are primarily 2 main religions in China, since it is so big, different folk stories will vary from towns, cities, and provinces with their own myths about different deities. Sun Wukong’s religious status in Buddhism is often denied by Buddhist monks both Chinese and non-Chinese alike, but is very welcomed by the general public, spreading its name around the world and establishing itself as a cultural icon. Sun Wukong “Monkey King with Dragon Turtle” Statue sizes: 4.4 inches / 11 cm x 3.2 inches / 8 cm x 8.1 inches / 20.5 cm.

Viking Goddess of Love Frigga Statue

Viking Goddess Frigga Statue, creatively crafted in cold cast bronze in intricately sculpted detail. Mixing bronze powder with resin gives it an authentic metal look with a stunning antique bronze finish detailed with a touch of blue coloring on her dress. Frigga is the wife of Odin, weaver of clouds for sunshine, rain and fertility of crops as well as the destiny of man and gods alike, she sits on a throne rich with celtic symbols. Known by many names, including Frigg, Frija, Frea and Frige, the Viking Goddess Frigga is the wife of Odin and rules over the destiny not only of man, but also of the gods. She is shown seated on a throne rich with Celtic symbols holding a set of keys and a spindle with which she weaves that destiny, as well as manipulates the weather for fertility of crops. At her feet is a lamb, box and various treasures. A great gift for anyone interested in Viking Mythology, in medieval history, or simply for a strong woman ruling over her household. Frigga or Frigg is one of the most relevant deities in Norse mythology, celestial wife of Odin, she is also called “lady of the sky” or “lady of the gods“, a title worthy of the companion of the most important of the Asi, and is said to be the most “Wise among the Goddesses“.

Frigga is the goddess of marriage and motherhood. In Norse mythology, Frigg appears primarily as a wife and mother and she is said to have the power of clairvoyance, and she can see things that escape even her husband Odin, while never revealing them. She shares Hliðskjálf‘s seat with Odin, and she can, from there, see the whole Universe. She has a beautiful home in Fensalir, one of the regions of Ásgarðr. The terms for Friday in the Germanic languages derive from the name Frigg, for example the English Friday and the German Freitag. Frigg’s sons, all with Odin, are Baldr, Hermóðr and Hoðr, and her stepchildren are Pórr, Víðarr, Váli, and Skjoldr. She often accompanies Eir, a goddess with medical skills, and her handmaids Hlín, Gná, and Fulla. The origin and etymology of the term Frigg can be found in many Nordic cultures, both in the Scandinàve ones as in the Old Norse (genitive Friggjar) or in the Swedish word friacandidate for marriage” or in the Icelandic frjáto love“, either in the Old Saxon Frilady“, or in the English Frig, or in the Germanic Frijo. Furthermore, Frigg is a word related to Sanskrit, in which the definition priyatil appears, which means “wife“. Feng Shui Golden Calabash with Dragon Pattern Statue

Feng Shui Golden Calabash Statue, a traditional artifact made of brass and hand carved and polished. Prosperity protection set of 10 lucky charm ancient coins on red string, tied to resemble a lotus flower, the 10 coins are joined with the auspicious red lucky knot of never ending good fortune, also known as the mystic knot. In Chinese, Gourd (hulu) sounds like “Fulu” (fortune and wealth) and symbolizes family prosperity and happiness. With a small mouth and big belly, gourd is frequently used in Feng Shui, indicating happiness, health and longevity. Calabash (Lagenaria Siceraria), also known as bottle gourd, white-flowered gourd, long melon, birdhouse gourd, New Guinea bean and Tasmania bean, is a vine grown for its fruit. It can be either harvested young to be consumed as a vegetable, or harvested mature to be dried and used as a utensil, container, or a musical instrument. When it is fresh, the fruit has a light green smooth skin and white flesh.

Calabash fruits have a variety of shapes, they can be huge and rounded, small and bottle-shaped, or slim and serpentine, and they can grow to be over a metre long. Rounder varieties are typically called calabash gourds. The gourd was one of the world’s first cultivated plants grown not primarily for food, but for use as containers. The bottle gourd may have been carried from Asia to Africa, Europe, and the Americas in the course of human migration, or by seeds floating across the oceans inside the gourd. It has been proven to have been globally domesticated (and existed in the New World) during the Pre-Columbian era. Because bottle gourds are also called “calabashes“, they are sometimes confused with the hard, hollow fruits of the unrelated calabash tree (Crescentia Cujete), whose fruits are also used to make utensils, containers, and musical instruments. Feng Shui Golden Calabash with Dragon Pattern Statue sizes: 3.5 inches / 9 cm x 3.5 inches / 9 cm x 5.8 inches / 14.5 cm.

Disney Maleficent Headdress “Sleeping Beauty True Love’s Kiss” Statue

This Disney Maleficent Headdress Statue is a Jim Shore Disney Traditions Collection and depicts the scene of “Sleeping Beauty,True Love’s Kiss“. Beautifully hand-painted and crafted from high-quality stone resin with intricate styling and attention to detail. Jim Shore’s unmistakable style evokes a sense of nostalgia with traditional themes, quilt patterns and design motifs inspired by American and European. The Disney Traditions Collection by Jim Shore combines the magic of Disney with the time-honored motifs of handcrafted folk art. Framed within Maleficent‘s horned silhouette, an illustrious Sleeping Beauty scene unfolds. Prince Phillip arrives at Aurora‘s bedside with fairies, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, to break the curse before the kingdom falls. Maleficent is the main antagonist of Disney’s 1959 animated feature film Sleeping Beauty. An evil fairy, Maleficent is an incarnation of pure evil, and is responsible for all misfortune in King Stefan’s kingdom. Taking offense at not being invited to the christening of Aurora by King Stefan and his wife, Queen Leah, Maleficent curses the princess to die by pricking her finger on a spinning wheel’s spindle before the sun sets on her 16th birthday. She also appears to be particularly disdainful of Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, her benevolent rivals. She is frequently accompanied by her pet raven, Diablo. With her dark, elegant design, dramatic and flamboyant animation, and an unlimited arsenal of magic powers at her command, Maleficent is one of the most popular and recognizable Disney Villains, in addition to being one of the primary members of the official franchise.

Sleeping Beauty, or Little Briar Rose, also titled in English as The Sleeping Beauty in the Woods, is a classic fairy tale about a princess who is cursed to sleep for a hundred years by an evil fairy, to be awakened by a handsome prince at the end of them. The good fairy, realizing that the princess would be frightened if alone when she awakens, uses her wand to put every living person and animal in the palace asleep, to awaken when the princess does. The earliest known version of the story is found in the narrative Perceforest, composed between 1330 and 1344. The tale was first published by Giambattista Basile in his collection of tales titled The Pentamerone (published posthumously in 1634). Basile’s version was later adapted and published by Charles Perrault in Histoires ou contes du temps passé in 1697. The version that was later collected and printed by the Brothers Grimm was an orally transmitted version of the literary tale published by Perrault. The Aarne-Thompson classification system for folktales classifies “Sleeping Beauty” as being a 410 tale type, meaning it includes a princess who is forced into an enchanted sleep and is later awakened reversing the magic placed upon her. The story has been adapted many times throughout history and has continued to be retold by modern storytellers throughout various media.

Early contributions to the tale include the medieval courtly romance Perceforest (published in 1528). In this tale, a princess named Zellandine falls in love with a man named Troylus. Her father sends him to perform tasks to prove himself worthy of her, and while he is gone, Zellandine falls into an enchanted sleep. Troylus finds her and rapes her in her sleep, when their child is born, the child draws from her finger the flax that caused her sleep. She realizes from the ring Troylus left her that he was the father, and Troylus later returns to marry her. Another early literary predecessor is the Provençal versified novel Fraire de Joi e sor de Plaser (1320-1340). The second part of the Sleeping Beauty tale, in which the princess and her children are almost put to death but instead are hidden, may have been influenced by Genevieve of Brabant. Even earlier influences come from the story of the sleeping Brynhild in the Volsunga saga and the tribulations of saintly female martyrs in early Christian hagiography conventions. Following these early renditions, the tale was first published by Italian poet Giambattista Basile who lived from 1575 to 1632. Disney Maleficent Headdress “Sleeping Beauty True Love’s Kiss” Statue measures: 10.25 inches / 26 cm x 7 inches / 18 cm x 8 inches / 20 cm.

Bugs Bunny Personality Pose Statue, Cartoons & Looney Tunes Statues, Looney Tunes' Bugs Bunny Statue

Looney Tunes’ Bugs Bunny Statue

Cool as a carrot from the Looney Tunes by Jim Shore line, comes this Bugs Bunny Personality Pose Statue that combines classic Looney Tunes characters with folk art designs. This statue captures Bugs Bunny with beautiful handcrafted details in high-quality stone resin and hand-painted. This Bugs Bunny Personality Pose captures the light-hearted essence of that rascally wabbit, as he kicks back to crunch down on a tasty carrot. Jim Shore’s signature colours and unique folk art style lend a timeless touch. Bugs Bunny is an animated cartoon character created in the late 1930s by Leon Schlesinger Productions (later Warner Bros. Cartoons) and voiced originally by Mel Blanc. Bugs is best known for his starring roles in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated short films, produced by Warner Bros. Though a similar character first appeared in the WB cartoon Porky’s Hare Hunt (1938) and a few subsequent shorts, the definitive characterization of Bugs Bunny is widely credited to have debuted in director Tex Avery’s Oscar-nominated film A Wild Hare (1940). Bugs is an anthropomorphic gray and white rabbit or hare who is famous for his flippant, insouciant personality. He is also characterized by a Brooklyn accent, his portrayal as a trickster, and his catch phrase “Eh…What’s up, doc?“.

Due to Bugs’ popularity during the golden age of American animation, he became not only an American cultural icon and the official mascot of Warner Bros. Entertainment, but also one of the most recognizable characters in the world. He can thus be seen in the older Warner Bros. Company logos. Bugs Bunny starred in more than 160 cartoon shorts produced between 1940 and 1964. He has since appeared in feature films, compilation films, TV series, music records, comics, video games, award shows, amusement park rides, and commercials. He has also appeared in more films than any other cartoon character, is the 9th most-portrayed film personality in the world. Like Mickey Mouse for Disney, Bugs Bunny has served as the mascot for Warner Bros. and its various divisions. According to Guinness World Records, Bugs has appeared in more films (both short and feature-length) than any other cartoon character. On December 10, 1985, Bugs became the second cartoon character (after Mickey) to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He also has been a pitchman for companies including Kool-Aid and Nike. His Nike commercials with Michael Jordan as “Hare Jordan” for the Air Jordan VII and VIII became precursors to Space Jam.

As a result, he has spent time as an honorary member of Jordan Brand, including having Jordan’s Jumpman logo done in his image. In 2015, as part of the 30th anniversary of Jordan Brand, Nike released a mid-top Bugs Bunny version of the Air Jordan I, named the “Air Jordan Mid 1 Hare“, along with a women’s equivalent inspired by Lola Bunny called the “Air Jordan Mid 1 Lola“, along with a commercial featuring Bugs and Ahmad Rashad. In 2002, TV Guide compiled a list of the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all time as part of the magazine’s 50th anniversary. Bugs Bunny was given the honor of number 1. In a CNN broadcast on July 31, 2002, a TV Guide editor talked about the group that created the list. The editor also explained why Bugs pulled top billing: “His stock… has never gone down… Bugs is the best example… of the smart-aleck American comic. He not only is a great cartoon character, he’s a great comedian. He was written well. He was drawn beautifully. He has thrilled and made many generations laugh. He is tops“. Some have noted that comedian Eric Andre is the nearest contemporary comedic equivalent to Bugs. They attribute this to, “their ability to constantly flip the script on their unwitting counterparts”. Looney Tunes’ Bugs Bunny Statue sizes: 4 inches / 10 cm x 1.5 inches / 4 cm x 3.75 inches / 9.5 cm.

Crystal Tweety Statue, Cartoons & Looney Tunes Statues, Looney Tunes’ Tweety Statue

Crystal Tweety Statue, Cartoons & Looney Tunes Statues, Looney Tunes' Tweety Statue

Looney Tunes’ Crystal Tweety Statue

This Crystal Tweety Statue belongs to the very first Looney Tunes line from Swarovski. Tweety, an iconic cartoon figure, enchanted in light yellow crystal with orange crystal feet and printed eyes. The creation with 75 sparkling crystal facets is a fantastic example of the high craftsmanship of Swarovski, making it a must for all Looney Tunes fans. Swarovski Crystal pieces are a collaboration of master artisans sharing their inspiration and imagination through excellence in workmanship. Tweety is a yellow canary in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated cartoons. The name “Tweety” is a play on words, as it originally meant “sweetie“, along with “tweetbeing an English onomatopoeia for the sounds of birds. His characteristics are based on Red Skelton’s famous “Junior the Mean Widdle Kid“. He appeared in 46 cartoons during the golden age, made between 1942 and 1962. Despite the perceptions that people may hold, owing to the long eyelashes and high-pitched voice (which Mel Blanc provided), Tweety is male although his ambiguity was played with. For example, in the cartoon “Snow Business“, when Granny entered a room containing Tweety and Sylvester she said: “Here I am, boys!“, whereas a 1952 cartoon was entitled Ain’t She Tweet . Also, his species is ambiguous, although originally and often portrayed as a young canary, he is also frequently called a rare and valuable “tweety bird” as a plot device, and once called “the only living specimen“.

Nevertheless, the title song of The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries directly states that he is a canary. His shape more closely suggests that of a baby bird, which is what he was during his early appearances (although the “baby bird” aspect has been used in a few later cartoons as a plot device). The yellow feathers were added, but otherwise he retained the baby-bird shape. In his early appearances in Bob Clampett cartoons, Tweety is a very aggressive character who tries anything to foil Sylvester, even kicking the cat when he is down. One of his most notable malicious moments is in the cartoon Birdy and the Beast, where a cat chases Tweety by flying until he remembers that cats cannot fly, causing him to fall. Tweety says sympathetically, “Awww, the poor kitty cat! He faw down and go (in a loud, tough, masculine voice) BOOM!!” and then grins mischievously. A similar use of that voice is in A Tale Of Two Kitties when Tweety, wearing an air raid warden’s helmet, suddenly yells, “Turn out those lights!” Tweety’s aggressive nature was toned down when Friz Freleng began directing the series, with the character turning into a more cutesy bird, usually going about his business, and doing little to thwart Sylvester’s ill-conceived plots, allowing them to simply collapse on their own, he became even less aggressive when Granny was introduced, but occasionally Tweety still showed a malicious side. Looney Tunes’ Tweety Statue sizes: 1.9 inches / 5 cm x 1.4 inches / 3.5 cm x 1 inches / 2.5 cm.

Looney Tunes’ Tasmanian Devil Statue

The Looney Tunes by Jim Shore collection combines rambunctious Looney Tunes characters with the time-honored motifs of handcrafted folk art. This Tasmanian Devil Statue captures the essence of everyone’s favorite dimwitted whirling dervish. Taz’s befuddled stance and expression look all the more endearing, rendered in Jim Shores’ signature colors and folk art style. Sculpted from high-quality stone resin, the handcrafted design is hand-painted for a beautiful artisanal finish. The Tasmanian Devil (also spelled Tazmanian Devil), commonly referred to as Taz, is an animated cartoon character featured in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. Though the character appeared in only five shorts before Warner Bros. Cartoons shut down in 1964, marketing and television appearances later propelled Taz to new popularity in the 1990s. Taz is generally portrayed as a ferocious, albeit dim-witted, carnivore with a notoriously short temper and little patience. He got his name in the short Ducking the Devil. Though he can be very devious, he is also sweet at times. His enormous appetite seems to know no bounds, as he will eat anything in his path. He is best known for his speech consisting mostly of grunts, growls, and rasps (in his earlier appearances, he does speak English with primitive grammar) as well as his ability to spin like a vortex and bite through nearly anything. Taz does have one weakness, he can be calmed by almost any music. While in this calm state, he can be easily dealt with. The only music known not to pacify Taz is the bagpipes, which he finds insufferable. Looney Tunes’ Tasmanian Devil Statue measures: 2 inches / 5 cm x 2 inches / 5 cm x 2 inches / 5 cm.

Disney Angel and Stitch “Mistletoe Kisses” Statue

This Disney Angel and Stitch Statue is beautifully hand-painted and crafted from high-quality stone resin with intricate styling and attention to detail. Jim Shore‘s unmistakable style evokes a sense of nostalgia with traditional themes, quilt patterns and design motifs inspired by American and European. The Disney Traditions collection by Jim Shore combines the magic of Disney with the time-honored motifs of handcrafted folk art. Stitch the holiday hooligan meets Angel under the mistletoe this season. The pair of mischievous aliens share a smooch in this sweet Jim Shore statue. Colorfully lined in ornaments, the pair make a lovely addition to any home, even on Earth! Stitch (also known as Experiment 626) is one of the titular protagonists of the Lilo & Stitch franchise. He is an illegal, genetic experiment created by Jumba Jookiba, whose primary function is to destroy everything he touches. After escaping the lawful Galactic Armada, Stitch crash-lands on Earth, on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai, where he meets a lonely girl named Lilo. Through Lilo’s love and guidance, Stitch abandons his evil programming, permanently reforms, and becomes part of Lilo’s Ohana (family).

While explaining his creation to the Galactic Council early on in Lilo & Stitch, Dr. Jumba gives the following rundown of Stitch’s powers: “He is bulletproof, fireproof, shockproof, and can think faster than supercomputer. He can see in the dark and can move objects 3,000 times his size. His only instinct: to destroy everything he touches!”. Angel, A.K.A. Experiment 624, is an illegal genetic experiment created by Jumba Jookiba. She is Stitch’s love interest, mate (or “boojiboo” as they call each other), and female counterpart. From Stitch onward, she is also considered to be a major character in the Lilo & Stitch franchise.

Angel‘s song causes any formerly evil person who hears it (including rehabilitated experiments created before her) to revert back to evil. Also, when Angel’s song is sung backwards, it will have the opposite effect (turning evil people and previous experiments to good). However, experiments that were created after her, namely, Stitch, Reuben, 627, and Leroy, are immune to her song. Like Stitch, Angel has pads on her hands and feet that produce a sticky substance which lets her scale walls and ceilings, a very flexible skeletal system, and retractable claws on her front and back paws, but unlike Stitch, she lacks an extra pair of retractable arms. She is strong enough to shatter the sealed glass containers that experiments had been captured in by headbutting them, however, the true extent of her strength is unknown. Additionally, she has acrobatic reflexes and is shown to be highly athletic and skilled with karate. She can use her antennae as prehensile limbs in order to reach distant objects or operate mechanisms (such as a button). She is naturally heat resistant to toxins and extremely durable. She is able to speak fluently (but only in the anime), as well as Tantalog, her native language (with a soft Scottish accent). Disney Angel and Stitch “Mistletoe Kisses” Statue sizes: 6.5 inches / 16.5 cm x 4.5 inches / 11.5 cm x 6 inches / 15 cm.
