Raphael Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Statue

Raphael TMNT Statue, based on the Nickelodeon TV series. Raphael is ready for battle with his sais and red mask. Temperamental and hot-headed, Raphael is always primed for a fight. With his twin sais at the ready and a rebellious glint in his eyes, even his brothers know to stay out of his way as they enter battle. Raphael, nicknamed Raph, is a fictional superhero and one of the four main characters of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and all related media. He is generally depicted as the second oldest/mid-middle-child of the turtle brothers, but has once been portrayed as the eldest. He is usually depicted wearing a red eye mask; in this regard he is the only turtle to retain the color in all media, whereas the others each received a different color. Raphael wields twin sai, the points of which are usually sharpened, as his primary weapon. Raphael is most famous for his temperamental and cynical personality, being short-tempered, aggressive, sullen, maddened, sarcastic, and rebellious. He is portrayed in most interaction as speaking with a Brooklyn accent.

It may be a coincidence, but the fact that he has a bad and fiery attitude and temper and the fact that his mask is still red may be linked, since the color red is typically associated with anger. The origin of Raphael’s anger is not always fully explored, but in some incarnations appears to stem partly from the realization that they are the only creatures of their kind and ultimately alone. He also has a somewhat rival relationship with his only older brother Leonardo because he is seen as the group’s leader. Raphael also gives his younger and youngest brother Michelangelo a hard time because of Michelangelo’s fiery optimism. He is the second eldest of the turtles, and third-in-command. Like all of the brothers, he is named after a Renaissance artist; in this case, he is named after the 16th century Italian painter Raphael. In 2011, Raphael placed 23rd on IGN’s Top 100 Comic Book Heroes, a list that did not feature any of his brothers. He is the only Teenage Turtle brother whose name does not end in the letter “O“, even though the artist he got his name from is in fact called “Raffaello“. Raphael Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Statue size: 3.5 inches / 9 cm x 3.5 inches / 9 cm x 4.5 inches / 11.5 cm.

Disney Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket Statue

Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket Statue, titled “Cricket’s the Name, Jiminy Cricket” from the Disney Traditions, hand-crafted from high-quality stone resin and beautifully hand-painted with intricate styling and attention to details. Combines the magic of Disney with Jim Shore’s unmistakable style that include time-honored motifs of handcrafted folk art, quilt patterns and traditional themes. Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio’s conscience, smiles brightly in this Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket Statue. Dressed in his classic suit, ascot, and top hat, Disney’s unofficial mascot holds his umbrella ready to issue advice to anyone in moral dilemma. Jiminy Cricket is the Walt Disney version of the “Talking Cricket” (Italian: Il Grillo Parlante), a fictional character created by Italian writer Carlo Collodi for his 1883 children’s book The Adventures of Pinocchio, which Disney adapted into the animated film Pinocchio in 1940.

Originally an unnamed, minor character in Collodi’s novel who is killed by Pinocchio before returning as a ghost, he was transformed for the Disney adaptation into a comical and wisecracking partner who accompanies Pinocchio on his adventures, having been appointed by the Blue Fairy (known in the book as the “Fairy with Turquoise Hair“) to serve as Pinocchio’s official conscience. In the film, he sings “When You Wish Upon a Star“, widely considered the Walt Disney Company’s signature song. Jiminy Cricket‘s appearance differs somewhat from that of actual crickets, which range from black to light brown and have long antennae and six legs; Jiminy Cricket has short antennae, a greenish-brown hue, and four limbs; like most Disney characterizations, he is bipedal. He dresses in the manner of a 19th or early 20th century gentleman, characteristically wearing a blue top hat and carrying a burgundy umbrella. Since his debut in Pinocchio, he has become an iconic Disney character, making numerous other appearances, including in Fun and Fancy Free (1947) as the host and in Mickey’s Christmas Carol (1983) as the Ghost of Christmas Past. The Talking Cricket Pinocchio Disney Statue measures: 11 inches / 28 cm x 7 inches / 18 cm x 14.5 inches / 37 cm.
