Disney Stitch Seated Funko POP

From Disney Lilo & Stitch, Stitch Seated, stylized as a Funko POP! Stitch (also known as Experiment 626) is one of the titular protagonists of the Lilo & Stitch franchise. He is an illegal, genetic experiment created by Jumba Jookiba, whose primary function is to destroy everything he touches. After escaping the lawful Galactic Armada, Stitch crash-lands on Earth, on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, where he meets a lonely girl named Lilo. Through Lilo’s love and guidance, Stitch abandons his evil programming, permanently reforms, and becomes part of Lilo’s Ohana (family). Stitch is a blue koala-like alien standing around 3 feet tall. He has large rabbit-like ears (with asymmetrical notches on the outer rims of each ear, one near the tip of his right ear, one near the base of his left ear, with the back of the ear tips colored indigo), a wide mouth, a round nose, black eyes, a small, short and stumpy tail. 3 tufts of fur on top of his head and on his chest, aqua countershading around his eyes and from his lower lip extending down to the bottom of his abdomen, 4 arms (2 of which are usually retracted), 3 retractable spines that run down his back, 4 sharp retractable claws on each of his front and back paws (hands and feet), 2 retractable antennae on his head, and abstract indigo markings on his back and occiput that vaguely look similar to snow angels (with the back marking having 2 large “bulges” in the middle that allude to his 4 arms).

He is referred to as a dog by Lilo throughout much of the franchise, as he was taken to a pound and disguised himself as one in order to escape his captors by being adopted by Lilo. He was initially believed by Lilo to be a collie that had been hit by a car, while Nani thought he was a koala of a sort before they found out he was an alien genetic experiment. He has a limited ability to change his physical appearance, as he can retract his lower set of arms, his claws, his antennae, and the 3 spines on his back into his body. Sanders’s initial design concepts for Stitch differ heavily from the final version. Stitch was originally going to have green fur, which was changed in early development to the now-familiar blue. His black eyes were slightly smaller compared to his final version, his ears flared at their bases instead of close to their tips, and some early drawings placed his nose below the eye line instead of above. The early drawings also showed him with white or silver claws instead of dark blue claws, and he wore a yellow-orange spacesuit with burnt orange pants instead of the more uniform red-orange spacesuit that he wears in the original film’s first act. While explaining his creation to the Galactic Council early on in Lilo & Stitch, Dr. Jumba gives the following rundown of Stitch’s powers: “He is bulletproof, fireproof, shockproof, and can think faster than supercomputer. He can see in the dark and can move objects 3,000 times his size. His only instinct: to destroy everything he touches“!

Genie Jafar Funko POP, Funko POPS, Disney & Aladdin Funko POPS, Red Evil Genie Jafar

Genie Jafar Funko POP, Funko POPS, Disney & Aladdin Funko POPS, Red Evil Genie Jafar

Red Evil Genie Jafar Funko POP

From Disney Aladdin, Red Evil Genie Jafar, stylized as a Funko POP! Genie Jafar is the final of the 3 forms of Jafar from Disney’s Aladdin and The Return of Jafar. In this form, Jafar is red, huge, bigger than the good genie, and very muscular. He has the same beard as his human form. Jafar also has black, razor sharp claws, yellow eyes and teeth, and black hair. The golden cuffs on his wrists indicate that he is bound by the rules of a genie. He also can change into his human form at will, and can shape-shift into anything he wants like a rotting Gazeem, a blue jackal, a ball of cosmic fire, a sword with a demons face,a huge whale like snake, and Jasmine. After making his final wish to become an all-powerful genie, Jafar became a being capable of commanding not only the world but the Universe as a whole. However, in the same way as Genie, he was still bound by the rules of being a genie, meaning that he was unable to physically kill anyone, make people fall in love with each other or bring people back from the dead.

Genie Jafar also was unable to travel outside the close proximity of his lamp. Despite this, some of his abilities as a genie, demonstrated in both his human and genie forms, were reality manipulation, teleportation of either himself or anyone and anything else, breathing underwater, superhuman strength, terrakinesis, summoning lightning bolts, superhuman endurance, shape-shifting, telekinesis, size-alteration, object conjuring, projecting fire, creating water tornadoes, and various usages of energy beams that were powerful enough to stun various opponents, in addition to the abilities he previously demonstrated in the first movie. However, after he was killed and later revived by Hades as a spirit in an episode of the Hercules animated series, Jafar no longer has his genie powers, but remains as a sorcerer, and also demonstrated the ability to generate monsters, and was nigh-immortal so long as he had his staff.

Tiger Rajah Funko POP, Funko POPS, Disney & Aladdin Funko POPS, Jasmine’s best friend Rajah

Tiger Rajah Funko POP, Funko POPS, Disney & Aladdin Funko POPS, Jasmine's best friend Rajah

Jasmine’s best friend Tiger Rajah Funko POP

From Disney Aladdin, Tiger Rajah the Jasmine’s best friend, stylized as a Funko POP! Rajah is a minor character in Disney‘s 1992 animated feature film, Aladdin. He is Princess Jasmine’s loyal, protective pet tiger and constant companion. Rajah was originally a circus tiger as a cub, who found his way into the Sultan‘s palace after escaping the touring circus group during a visit to Agrabah. He was discovered by a then-young Princess Jasmine, who assumed the cub was a gift from her deceased mother. As a child, Jasmine’s mother told the princess stories of a star named “Rajah“, prompting Jasmine to name her new cub in honor of those stories. Once the Sultan discovers Rajah, he expresses the need to have the latter return to the circus, though his mind is eventually changed and he manages to purchase Rajah from his original owner. Rajah is Jasmine’s best friend and fierce protector. As such, he cares deeply for the princess, and repeatedly supports her throughout the course of the franchise, not once showing a hint of disloyalty or true aggression towards her (though he showed offense when Jasmine mentioned a lack of friends, absentmindedly forgetting Rajah for a brief moment). He is mostly known for being rather aggressive, quarrelsome, bloodthirsty, and intolerable, as he takes a disliking to anyone who annoys Jasmine, even slightly, including narcissistic suitors, “Prince Ali“, and even the Sultan. However, when with Jasmine, Rajah is docile and gentle. He appears to represent Jasmine’s overall character, in this sense as she, too, can be both fierce and loving, depending on whom she is interacting with.

Disney Holiday Pluto the Pup Funko POP

From Disney Holiday, Pluto, stylized as a Funko POP! Pluto is a cartoon character created by The Walt Disney Company. He is a yellow-orange color, medium-sized, short-haired dog with black ears. Unlike most Disney characters, Pluto is not anthropomorphic beyond some characteristics such as facial expression. He is Mickey Mouse‘s pet. Officially a mixed-breed dog, he made his debut as a bloodhound in the Mickey Mouse cartoon The Chain Gang. Together with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Goofy, Pluto is one of the “Sensational Six“, the biggest stars in the Disney universe. Though all 6 are non-human animals, Pluto alone is not dressed as a human. Pluto debuted in animated cartoons and appeared in 24 Mickey Mouse films before receiving his own series in 1937. All together Pluto appeared in 89 short films between 1930 and 1953.

Several of these were nominated for an Academy Award, including The Pointer (1939), Squatter’s Rights (1946), Pluto’s Blue Note (1947), and Mickey and the Seal (1948). One of his films, Lend a Paw (1941), won the award in 1942. Because Pluto does not speak, his films generally rely on physical humor. This made Pluto a pioneering figure in character animation, by expressing personality through animation rather than dialogue. Like all of Pluto’s co-stars, the dog has appeared extensively in comics over the years, first making an appearance in 1931. He returned to theatrical animation in 1990 with The Prince and the Pauper and has also appeared in several direct-to-video films. Pluto also appears in the television series Mickey Mouse Works (1999-2000), House of Mouse (2001-2003), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (2006-2016), and the new Mickey Mouse shorts (2013-2019) along with its successor, The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse (2020-present). Pluto first appeared as a nameless bloodhound tracking the escaped convict Mickey in the film The Chain Gang, which released on August 6, 1930. On October 23 of that same year, The Picnic was released. Pluto was Minnie‘s dog and was named Rover.

In The Moose Hunt, which came out on May 3, 1931, Pluto appeared as Mickey’s pet, and was given the name “Pluto“. Several months had passed between the naming of what was then classified as the 9th planet, Pluto, on May 1, 1930, and the attachment of that name to the dog character. Disney animator Ben Sharpsteen said “We thought the name (Rover) was too common, so we had to look for something else… We changed it to Pluto the Pup…”. Some Disney animators reportedly believed that Walt Disney chose the name to capitalize on the sensation of the newly named Planet. Perhaps, the name’s author was a good connoisseur of Latin, because Sextus Pompeius Festus, a Roman lexicographer and grammarian of the II century a.C., so wrote: “Plauti are called the dogs whose ears are languid and flabby and appear to extend more widely”. …anyway for me Pluto is still the 9th planet.

Disney Aladdin Genie Funko POP, Funko POPS, Disney & Aladdin Funko POPS, Disney Aladdin Genie with Lamp

Disney Aladdin Genie Funko POP, Funko POPS, Disney & Aladdin Funko POPS, Disney Aladdin Genie with Lamp

Disney Aladdin Genie with Lamp Funko POP

From Disney Aladdin, Genie with Lamp, stylized as a Funko POP! The Genie is the “secondary protagonist” of Disney’s 1992 animated feature film, Aladdin. He is a comedic, larger-than-life spirit “Jinni” who acts as a servant to whomever holds ownership of the magic lamp in which he resides. Genie possesses phenomenal cosmic power that allows him to grant wishes, shape-shift, and transcend space and time; however, he is burdened to remain bound to his lamp for eternity unless granted freedom by a master. The Genie is loosely based on the Genie of the Lamp featured in the One Thousand and One Nights folk tale, Aladdin. The figure in the tale, while important, was portrayed as a mere slave while the Disney interpretation was greatly expanded into an identifiable character personality, the most notable difference being the Disney genie’s ultimate wish to be free. Being a Genie, he was created from the smokeless fire, along with the Angels by God at the beginning of time. Genie was originally a slave imprisoned within his lamp, which, itself, was sealed away in the Cave of Wonders for 10,000 years.
