This Hawkgirl Statue rappresent the Winged Champion, the charismatic heroine of the Justice League! The furious statue of the winged warrior takes flight over technological metallic debris, as if she was breaking through a spaceship window, the imposing heroine advances with her mace, made of the umpteenth mystical metal capable of affecting magical creatures in her right hand, and with the left fist clenched and with its wings spread, ready for combat. Shayera can communicate with birds, has superhuman strength, speed in flight, hand-to-hand combat skills, durability, reflexes and resistance on the battlefield, and also has, thanks to the contact with the umpteenth metal, improved hearing, regeneration factor, ability to regulate her temperature and keen eyesight, in addition to being a great observer and detective, so much so that even Batman is impressed by her analysis and expertise. Hawkgirl is a legacy name used by female counterparts to the super-hero Hawkman. She wields a magical mace and uses Nth Metal Wings to fly. Carter Hall’s wife Shiera Sanders was the first to use the name during the Golden Age, although Katar Hol’s wife Shayera Hol from the planet Thanagar used it during the Silver Age before choosing the name of Hawkwoman. Kendra Saunders, a reincarnation of Shiera, would later take the name. The character has been involved with the All-Star Squadron, Birds of Prey, Justice League and Justice Society. Hawkgirl was created by Gardner Fox and Dennis Neville first appearing in Flash Comics #1 (1940).

Like all modern Thanagarians, Shayera had a pair of wings growing from her back which allowed her to fly through the atmosphere of planets at least close to Earth’s gravity. It isn’t known how much gravity would actually ground her. Shayera didn’t need to flap her wings to achieve sufficient altitude or move and in various instances is seen hovering in the air without moving them at all. As a Thanagarian, Shayera had considerable physical strength, endurance and durability, durable enough to get thrown into a wall by Grundy. As a former member of the Thanagarian Military, Shayera had extensive training in tactical strategery, military science, and personal combat skills. She is incredibly skilled in martial arts. Single-handedly, she defeated 4 of the Green Lantern Corps members in hand-to-hand combat. She has shown resistance to mind control and Martian Manhunter‘s attempts to enter her mind failed. Despite her short fuse and often brutal M.O., Shayera has a keen mind and regularly defeated Batman at chess. Her focus in espionage can make her a difficult opponent to track and provide her teammates with an advantage when tracking villains.
