Steampunk Submarine Sci-fi Fantasy Statue

This cool cast resin Steampunk Submarine Statue looks straight out of a Jules Verne novel. It is hand painted to bring out the intricate detail in this piece. It will make a great gift for any Steampunk fan. A Submarine (or sub) is a watercraft capable of independent operation underwater. It differs from a submersible, which has more limited underwater capability. It is also sometimes used historically or colloquially to refer to remotely operated vehicles and robots, as well as medium-sized or smaller vessels, such as the midget submarine and the wet sub. Submarines are referred to as “boats” rather than “ships” irrespective of their size. Although experimental submarines had been built before, submarine design took off during the 19th century, and they were adopted by several navies. Submarines were first widely used during World War I (1914-1918), and are now used in many navies, large and small. Military uses include attacking enemy surface ships (merchant and military) or other submarines, aircraft carrier protection, blockade running, nuclear deterrence, reconnaissance, conventional land attack (for example, using a cruise missile), and covert insertion of special forces. Civilian uses for submarines include marine science, salvage, exploration, and facility inspection and maintenance. Submarines can also be modified to perform more specialized functions such as search-and-rescue missions or undersea cable repair.

Submarines are also used in tourism and undersea archaeology. Modern deep-diving submarines derive from the bathyscaphe, which evolved from the diving bell. Most large submarines consist of a cylindrical body with hemispherical (or conical) ends and a vertical structure, usually located amidships, which houses communications and sensing devices as well as periscopes. In modern submarines, this structure is the “sail” in American usage and “fin” in European usage. A “conning tower” was a feature of earlier designs: a separate pressure hull above the main body of the boat that allowed the use of shorter periscopes. There is a propeller (or pump jet) at the rear, and various hydrodynamic control fins. Smaller, deep-diving, and specialty submarines may deviate significantly from this traditional layout. Submarines use diving planes and also change the amount of water and air in ballast tanks to change buoyancy for submerging and surfacing. Submarines have one of the widest ranges of types and capabilities of any vessel. They range from small autonomous examples and 1 or 2 person subs that operate for a few hours to vessels that can remain submerged for 6 months, such as the Russian Typhoon class, the biggest submarines ever built.

Submarines can work at greater depths than are survivable or practical for human divers. The word submarine simply means “underwater” or “under-sea” (as in submarine canyon, submarine pipeline) though as a noun it generally refers to a vessel that can travel underwater. The term is a contraction of submarine boat and occurs as such in several languages, e.g. French (Sous-marin), and Spanish (Submarino), although others retain the original term, such as Dutch (Onderzeeboot), German (Unterseeboot), Swedish (Undervattensbåt), and Russian (Podvodnaya Lodka), all of which mean “submarine boat“. By naval tradition, submarines are still usually referred to as boats rather than as ships, regardless of their size. Although referred to informally as boats, U.S. submarines employ the designation USS (United States Ship) at the beginning of their names, such as USS Alabama. In the Royal Navy, the designation HMS can refer to “Her Majesty’s Ship” or “Her Majesty’s Submarine“, though the latter is sometimes rendered “HMS/m” and submarines are generally referred to as boats rather than ships. Steampunk Submarine Sci-fi Fantasy Statue sizes: 8.5 inches / 21.5 cm x 4 inches / 10 cm x 7 inches / 18 cm.

Cosmo Fleet Andromeda Statue, Ships, Anime & Space Battleship Yamato Statues, Spaceship Warriors of Love Andromeda Statue

Cosmo Fleet Andromeda Statue, Ships, Anime & Space Battleship Yamato Statues, Spaceship Warriors of Love Andromeda Statue

Cosmo Fleet Andromeda “Spaceship Warriors of Love” Statue

This Cosmo Fleet Statue of the stately Andromeda class first ship from Space Battleship Yamato 2202 looks amazing. You can activate light and sound effects for the wave motion gun and the engines with the help of the base, and it also comes with four in-scale Cosmo Tiger II Spacecraft. A pedestal that can adjust the angle with a pole joint is included. It is also possible to reproduce the flight scene. The Andromeda (AAA-01, later ZZZ-0001) is a United Nations Cosmo Navy Advanced Armament Ability Space Battleship launched in 2202 as the first ship of the Andromeda class of warships. Commanded by Captain Osamu Yamanami, the ship becomes a technologically superior rival to the older Yamato. Andromeda takes severe damage at the Battle of Saturn, but is rebuilt and rejoins the ongoing Gatlantis-Earth War in a strike against the heart of the Gatlantis Empire. Andromeda first engaged in combat during the Battle of the Eighth Floating Continent, a joint operation between the UN Cosmo Navy and the Garmillas Imperial Astro Fleet to recapture territory from Gatlantis forces. After conventional forces began to suffer heavy losses, the joint command called in Andromeda to counterattack.

Plan A” was activated, and surviving UNCN and Garmillan ships were ordered to stand aside as Andromeda entered the site of battle and fired its dual wave motion gun. The beam blasted directly through an orbiting moon and continued into the atmosphere of its parent planet, where it broke into a dispersal pattern that obliterated all but 1 of the Gatlantis vessels and the remains of the conquered floating continent. The battle appeared to have been won, but at the cost of revealing that the Earth Federation had broken its treaty with Iscandar to never develop wave motion weapons. Andromeda attempted to intercept the last surviving Gatlantean ship as it powered up and began an attack run against Earth, but it could not catch the ship before it warped away, leaving it to eventually be destroyed by the Space Battleship Yamato (“AD 2202Revive, Space Battleship Yamato“). On the night of December 8, 2202, days after the battle and hours after the celebratory launch of 4 other vessels of its class, Andromeda’s hull was illuminated for a slow flyover of the Earth Federation capital city (“Tension – Reach the Embassy on the Moon“). Spaceship Warriors of Love Andromeda Statue measures: 16 inches / 40.5 cm x 12.5 inches / 32 cm x 5.2 inches / 13 cm.

Vegeta’s Round Spaceships Statue, Ships, Anime & Dragon Ball Statues, Dragon Ball Z Vegeta’s Mechanics Saiyan Pod Statue

Vegeta's Round Spaceships Statue, Ships, Anime & Dragon Ball Statues, Dragon Ball Z Vegeta's Mechanics Saiyan Pod Statue

Dragon Ball Z Vegeta’s Mechanics Saiyan Pod Statue

The Saiyans attack at full impact with their Mechanics Spaceships. The Saiyan’s Spaceships comes with Vegeta at the time of attack. It’s interior mecha structure is faithfully recreated with highly a detailed structure of the hatch door’s movement and functionality and scale reproduction of the meters and seat. The Attack Balls, also known as Round Spaceships are spaceships used by those under King Cold, Cooler, and Frieza for interstellar travel. When the Saiyans were a part of the military, these vehicles also sent low-class Saiyans to distant locations, so that they would one day conquer and/or destroy worlds throughout the Galaxy. The Saiyan Pods use incredible technology. These spaceships are purely for transportation purposes, carrying along unconscious people. Because of this, they are not outfitted with any particularly comfortable features but are made to not cause any strain on the body. Even though it is only 5 feet / 1,5 meters in diameter, it houses an advanced environmental system and an incredibly fuel-efficient faster-than-light drive.

Those traveling inside the ball are kept in a state of suspended animation that minimizes the resources needed to keep them alive. Saiyan Pods can travel for 3 years nonstop, but they must replenish their environmental system once every 6 months or twice a year. To do so, they must enter a world with an at least partially inhabitable atmosphere for 10 minutes. Although relatively slow when in final approach or during launch, they can travel at a speed which enables them to cross interstellar distances within days or even hours, and to travel through a Galaxy within a few years, making them some of the fastest spacecraft in the Universe. These ships have exceptionally strong armor, which allows them to not be crushed or outright destroyed upon landing. This often has consequences for the destination point, as the extreme speed often causes massive explosions upon impact, wiping out everything within a certain radius and leaving nothing but a massive crater in its place. Dragon Ball Z Vegeta’s Mechanics Saiyan Pod Statue sizes: 2 inches / 5 cm x 3 inches / 7.5 cm x 6 inches / 15 cm.

UFO Spaceship Crash Statue

UFO Crash Statue, made of premium material to look extremely beautiful and elegant. The details of this UFO Spaceship are realistic and the colors are naturally bright. The statue in question is very reminiscent of an event that took place near Roswell, New Mexico. The Roswell incident is the 1947 recovery of United States Army Air Forces balloon debris from a ranch near Corona, New Mexico by Roswell Army Air Field officers, and the subsequent conspiracy theories claiming that the debris involved a flying saucer, and that the truth had been covered up by the United States government. On July 8, 1947, Roswell Army Air Field issued a press release stating that they had recovered a “flying disc“. The Army quickly retracted the statement and said instead that the crashed object was a conventional weather balloon. The Roswell incident did not surface again until the late 1970s, when retired lieutenant colonel Jesse Marcel, in an interview with ufologist Stanton Friedman, said he believed the debris he retrieved was extraterrestrial.

Ufologists began promoting a variety of increasingly elaborate conspiracy theories, claiming that one or more alien spacecraft had crash-landed and that the extraterrestrial occupants had been recovered by the military, which then engaged in a cover-up. In 1994, the United States Air Force published a report identifying the crashed object as a nuclear test surveillance balloon from Project Mogul. A second Air Force report, published in 1997, concluded that stories of “aliens bodies” probably stemmed from test dummies being dropped from high altitude. Conspiracy theories about the event nevertheless persist, and the Roswell incident continues to be of interest in popular media. The incident has been described as “the world’s most famous, most exhaustively investigated, and most thoroughly debunked UFO claim“. The city of Roswell, New Mexico has capitalized on the event. The city’s official seal now features a little green man while the city contains countless ufology attractions, events, statues and iconography. UFO Spaceship Crash Statue sizes: 6 inches / 15 cm x 4.5 inches / 11.5 cm x 2.8 inches / 7 cm.

Steampunk Airship Statue, Ships & Steampunk Statues, Steampunk Airship with Steamship Gondola Statue

Steampunk Airship Statue, Ships & Steampunk Statues, Steampunk Airship with Steamship Gondola Statue

Steampunk Airship with Steamship Gondola Statue

Steampunk Airship Statue, expertly sculpted and handcrafted of cast resin in intricate detail, hand painted metallic finish showcases the fine detailing. When you just cannot get enough of steampunk art, you need cool pieces that you can hang in the air as well, not just put on a shelf. Enter this Steampunk Airship With Steamship Gondola which you can suspend in flight from the ceiling in any room in your home. The Blimp is beautifully sculpted with fine attention to detail and features a hand painted metallic finish. Just looking at this fantastical ship will take you away on a journey that only you can imagine, whether it is in the past, future or an alternative universe. The Gondola is a traditional flat-bottomed Venetian rowing boat, well suited to the conditions of the Venetian lagoon. It is typically propelled by a gondolier, who uses a rowing oar, which is not fastened to the hull, in a sculling manner and also acts as the rudder.

The uniqueness of the Gondola includes it being asymmetrical along the length making the single-oar propulsion more efficient. For centuries, the gondola was a major means of transportation and the most common watercraft within Venice. In modern times, the boats still do have a role in public transport in the city, serving as traghetti (small ferries) over the Gran Canal operated by two oarsmen. Various types of gondola boats are also used in special regattas (rowing races) held amongst gondoliers. Their primary role today, however, is to carry tourists on rides at fixed rates. There are approximately 400 licensed gondoliers in Venice and a similar number of boats, down from the thousands that travelled the canals centuries ago. However, they are now elegantly crafted, instead of the various types of homemade boats of the distant past. Steampunk Airship With Steamship Gondola Statue measures: 10 inches / 25.4 cm x 7 inches / 17.5 cm x 13 inches / 33 cm.

When you think of the Vikings, the first thing that comes to mind is the Viking Warrior, tall, powerful, bearded with a horned helmet and armed with an axe. These fearless warriors invaded the European continents from the 8th to the 11th century. Vikings is the modern name given to seafaring people primarily from Scandinavia (present-day Denmark, Norway and Sweden), who from the late 8th to the late 11th centuries raided, pirated, traded and settled throughout parts of Europe. They also voyaged as far as the Mediterranean, North Africa, the Middle East, and North America.

In some of the countries they raided and settled in, this period is popularly known as the Viking Age, and the term “Viking” also commonly includes the inhabitants of the Scandinavian homelands as a collective whole. The Vikings had a profound impact on the early medieval history of Scandinavia, the British Isles, France, Estonia, and Kievan Rus‘. Expert sailors and navigators aboard their characteristic longships, Vikings established Norse settlements and governments in the British Isles, Ireland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Normandy, the Baltic coast, and along the Dnieper and Volga trade routes in what is now European Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
